Trimming on the cake

We spent yesterday getting the house ready for today (the BIG trim day!). We have never done this before so it was a puzzle/mathematical challenge.

Ian manned the saw, while I womanned the nail gun. We were able to get the living room, kitchen, dining room and hall done.

We are also in process now of setting up our bathroom and kitchen in working order. That will be fantastic; I can’t wait to get the stove off the back porch (feeling a little trashy for the ‘hood).

Tonight we sat back and watched our first load of laundry spin around and thought about how happy we are. It was such a productive weekend!

Also, to all you Mom’s out there – happy day, you deserve nothing but the best.

everything looks great. I'll wait till tomorrow to tell you that you need to allow for the trim on the back door to go to the floor like all the rest of the doors. and I thought I used to type slow with two hands......you're loved

You don’t understand what a pain in the butt it was to move everything out of the living room, put up trip, moving everything in the kitchen to the living room, put up trip and them move everything from the dining room (ah hem, where we put all the misc. boxes during move day) to the kitchen. It was a lot of moving things around. How I regret not having one more day to get the trim up before we moved all our stuff in.

I understand what a hassle it was.
Sorry the reference to slow was me complaining about what a hassle it is to type these days, not how long it took you to trim.
Have you found that piece of wood outside the laundry closet that got my vote for coolest piece?

Wow, you guys have lots of stuff!
I remember you describing the (first) rehab of the Hutch house. It all seemed like a good idea at the time, huh? It is so worth it though, as it will be when you get the next appraisal. And it's beautiful! Have fun this weekend-(going to get Noel to Smitty's?)
love,
Mom/bb
